Winter Squash Bread
Ingredients Procedure


1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 1/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups cooked, mashed squash
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves

Cream together, butter or margarine, sugar, beet in eggs, beet in cooked, mashed squash.

Sift together and stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Stir in1/2 cup chopped walnuts Pour into a greased loaf pan. Let rest 15 minutes. Bake at 350 F for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
